About Mia Isaac
Mia Isaac, originally hailing from Columbia, South Carolina, and raised in both North, South Carolina, and Brooklyn, New York, pursued a career in education that spanned both these places. She completed her academic journey at several esteemed institutions, including Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, Long Island University Graduate School, Fordham University in New York, Bishop College in Dallas, Texas, the University of South Carolina, and Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina.
Mia Isaac made her literary debut with her publication, "I Cry For My Parents," a heartfelt testament to her vision of nurturing and empowering African-American children with love and knowledge. Her influence extended beyond the pages of her book as she made appearances on various television and radio programs within her state and traveled to different states, where she conducted workshops. These workshops were dedicated to instructing parents, educators, and students on how to tap into and leverage their innate, genius-level abilities for the challenges of the 21st century and onward.
Mia Isaac's dedication and passion for education were recognized through several awards and achievements. She received an incentive award from Richland School District #1 during the 1988/89 school year and another award from parents during the 1983/84 school year in Brooklyn, New York. In 1995, she organized and established the Youth and Parental Involvement Organization under the Eau Claire Community Council. Furthermore, she began teaching the IGIA Program in 1991 and continues to do so even today, as of 2023 and onward.
